Welcome to Friday! I announced last week that this day at thedabble will now be a catchall linkfest for things I’m digging. I asked you readers and a few others what I might call this extravaganza. While I’ve received several great suggestions, I wonder do I really need a title. Doesn’t Friday just kind of feel like a day to share what you’re into for the week? Well, I think so but in case you feel the need to call it something, I’m going with “fond of” Friday. There you have it.
I know that Independence Day is coming up in a few days and I normally suggest things to make but this site is chock-full o’recipes for summer, holiday, event and the times in-between. My suggestion is to check out the category menu on the right side of the screen.
If that doesn’t intrigue you, check out Mark Bittman’s 101 Fast Recipes for Grilling. This was handy for my own weekend planning.

What are your plans for July 4th? Are you singing patriotic songs like God Bless the USA/America the Beautiful/humming Stars and Stripes Forever/My Country Tis of Thee/God Bless America/ the Star Spangled Banner, waving the flag proudly, wearing red, white and blue, standing to honor our great country at a parade or relaxing in the splendor of the land?
Whatever you will be doing, I hope that you keep in mind those that serve and have served our country and their family’s for their dedication and sacrifice. I also hope that you pay tribute to our Founding Fathers that set out to make America strong and wonderful so that we have the ability to govern in accordance to the Constitution. Celebrate your freedom and independence this weekend, fellow Americans, and I’ll see you back here Tuesday.
